My morning started today at 2:15 am when my buddy Hayes and our friends Delphina, Alex, and Devyn, as well as our counselor MaLahku, got suited up in our buffs and headlamps and made our way to our alliance boat Aviza to meet up with them to prank Beso. We all got in the dingy and made our way over to their boat, where we did several small pranks that added up to a big one. For example, we factory reset their map/chart and turned the language to Japanese. We also took 2 of their life vest, or as we call them, pods, and put them all the way up in the sail bag. Once we finished with Beso, we made our way to Shamwari, where we snuck inside their boat, took their cameras, and proceeded to take multiple pictures on their camera with all their kids and counselors asleep. We eventually got back to our boat and fell asleep around 4 when the real day started at 6:00 with loud music and dancing. We had cereal for breakfast made by our amazing chefs, Daisy and Graham.
After a quick breakfast, we cleaned up and made our way to the dive boat Highlander for our first open water and first deep dive. It was so sick I saw multiple tarpons and lots of jellyfish. Tony was making these awesome bubble rings with his hands it was like aqua man. The coral reefs were full of tiny fish and cool caves. My group included Antonio and Liam. Once we got back for lunch, we had pancakes and sandwiches. Then Hayes and I took a nap, and when we woke up, it was time for our final open water exam. It was very easy, and I’m sure everyone passed.
Then we got ready to sail. Everyone helped to get ready to leave but before we left we went swimming really quickly Reed, and Tomas did several jumps and flips into to the water I saw Reed do a really cool front flip. After sailing for a little bit, we came to the place we’re anchored right now for the night, Marina Cay. Just as we were finished anchoring our alliance boat, Aviza, who is now our arch nemesis boat, when they became traitors and did a drive-by to our boat with eggs, bananas, and mashed potatoes. Violet, our decky, was not very happy. She had to clean it up. Fortunately, the pranked ended up backfiring on them as we got more hits on them with our own eggs and bananas. After that was settled, we set up dinner, where we had our big Thanksgiving dinner tonight. We ended off the dinner with a deep question for our squeeze and some yoga we now are all cleaned up from dinner and are making preparations for our prank to get back at Aviza tonight and guard our boat.
