HEYY everyone! This is Brielle, and I’m the skipper today! We started our day bright and early at 7 am. Like always, we started our day off with some music. This helps us set a positive mood for the rest of the day. As everyone was still half asleep, Casia and Nat(short for Natalia) started to make breakfast. The breakfast for today was french toast, even though we were supposed to have cereal, but we were highkey on the wrong meal schedule. Although the French toast was a bit soggy and kinda undercooked, it was still tasty. Today was a rotation day, which means we rotate through many different activities throughout the day. The first rotation we had in the morning around 8 was paddle boarding. During paddle boarding, we had a race. We had to run around our paddle five times and then paddle to a boat that was far out. We split into three groups of four; two groups were all girls, and the 3rd group was all guys. Sadly, the guys won, but I did push Mario off of the paddle at the start of the race, which was pretty funny. Our second rotation consisted of water sports which was essentially just wakeboarding, kneeboarding, and waterskiing. I only did kneeboarding, but many people on the boat did the other options as well. Caitlin was able to learn a super cool trick which was a 360 on the kneeboard.

Once it was 12 o’clock, we headed over to our boat, where Casia and Nat brought out lunch. Today, for lunch, we enjoyed some PB&J sandwiches. Some people also ate sandwiches that had turkey, cheese, and veggies on them. As 1 o’clock rolled by, we headed over to our 3rd rotation, which was snorkeling. We went with Tony and a staff member from a different boat named Garrison, while India, also a staff member, stayed on the boat. We snorkeled in the mangroves, and we saw a lot of sea life. During our snorkeling, we even encountered a huge barracuda that wouldn’t leave us alone. This was an interesting encounter because this barracuda was extremely interested in Mario and wouldn’t leave him alone. It would follow him around and even tried to follow him back to the boat. Our last rotation of the day was Zesting, which is almost like mini sailing on small sailboats. We went in pairs of two, and it was surprisingly fun. To end off our day, we ate delicious garden burgers and mashed potatoes. Of course, we had to do squeeze, a nightly tradition where we sit in a group and say our appreciation for the day and we answer the question that the skipper has for us that day. All rotation days are filled with excitement but end off with us being drained. Overall, today was nothing less than an eventful, joy-filled day that left me wanting to stay in the beautiful BVI’s forever.
PS: I miss you so much, Mom, Dad, and Yaell. Love you guys!! Thank you for letting me experience this! Say hi to the dogs for me, Brielle M.
