Location: Cane Garden Bay, Tortola

We started the day with a good morning breakfast of oatmeal and pineapple. Afterward, we went back to the island, where we had our second barbecue to clean up any left trash. Fortunately, there wasn’t that much, and we just spent the rest of the time there just relaxing. When we went back to the boat, we were all given dinghy lessons and how to drive one which was very easy. We then sailed to another island to refuel on water, gas, and snacks. During the sail, however, it stormed harshly, and everyone except for the staff had to go down below deck. But even after the harsh weather conditions, we still made it out.

An hour or so went by and we began to demonstrate the man overboard drill in which everyone had to steer the boat to save a thrown buoy in a very specific way. All of that was pretty easy, though, and we eventually left it to the staff to steer the helm to take us to where we were about to anchor. We then waited for the two other staff to deliver our dinner we just ordered from a nearby restaurant that cooked burgers, wings, wraps, ribs, and pasta. The food tasted very nostalgic to me and the rest of the students. Almost like we were back at home. Sun is about to set, and we all took a moment to enjoy the view. As always, we all then gathered up for a squeeze, and my question of the day was, “If you could meet any person, dead or alive, who would it be?” I haven’t thought about it too much, but I’d probably meet Freddie Mercury. And, of course, my highlight of the day was the gorgeous view.

Overall, today was a very casual day, especially after the night of the barbecue. But I’m sure it’ll be even better and better for the last week of ActionQuest.
