Location: Muskmelon Bay, Guana Island
HEY GUYS!! It’s Elizabeth, and I’m here to walk you through the day’s festivities. We started our magical day by preparing breakfast, WITHOUT THE INSTRUCTORS HELP!! As soon as we woke up, Frankie saw a turtle that popped his head out at us. Hayley and Madora whipped up some delicious pancakes with a side of caramelized bananas. Then we sailed to the Kraken, which is a shipwreck of a retired Navy Ship. We then dove and saw so many interesting creatures like sea eggs and families of snapper. We then ate lunch and ramen before we sailed to Muskmelon Bay, which was about an hour-long voyage. This is personally my favorite place we’ve been so far, and I was blown away by the bright blue, calm water and scenery. We all jumped into the water for a snorkel and were immediately shocked by the immense amount of jellyfish. I don’t think any of us have ever seen that many. We also saw some stingrays.
Then we set up our gear and ate dinner: rice and chili. This left quite a few pots and pans for the washers, Frannie, Sean, George, DJ, and Maddie. Then Eve did an excellent job deck-ing. After dinner, we all watched the sunset together and got ready for our first night dive without our scuba instructors. On our dive, George, Frannie, and I spotted a Moray Eel, tons of upside-down jellyfish, and an insane amount of Sprat(Small bait fish), which swam into me. I even found some on my arms after the dive. We got a little confused with where the boat was but found Mateo and Sophie along the way. After we showered, we got into our comfy clothes and ate the cake that Jake graciously prepared for us. We all talked and went to sleep. We all miss you and are thinking about you!
