Location: Sommer's Beach, Tortola
Hi parents! It’s Sophie here. Today was a blast. We woke up in musk melon bay and pumped tanks on the way to monkey island. Hailey and Eve made delicious eggs and cinnamon muffins for breakfast. We chowed those down. After breakfast, we did our third solo dive, but our first solo dive with no instructors in the water. Deej and Maddie saw some very cool sting rays and big daddy lobsters. After our dive, we were famished and ate some delicious broccoli cheddar soup. Fran and Jake started chugging the soup, and Fran almost threw up. Oh well. We then went to the top of the boat and sunbathed.
Later Cici did our equipment chat which was very long, and went over all the gear we use to dive. The counselors surprised us with a scuba equipment race where we were blindfolded and told to put our scuba gear together. Madora won the race with only 50 seconds on the clock. George came in close seconds with only 1:04. Frankie was disappointed as she had gotten 1:05 but was a good sport in most ways! After our scuba comp, we found out we were on the BBQ boat, meaning we had to bring and prepare food for the BBQ. We made a big line where Mateo, Sean, and Elizabeth cut all the buns for the BBQ. They were speedy and finished in only 15 min. We then got ready for our second bbq. It was long awaited since we all missed our second BBQ last year. We got motored over to the beach for a long Night of fun. We ate delicious food and played fun games. We ended the BBQ by jumping in the water at the end to cool us off, and man, that was refreshing. Anyways we all miss you so much, and we are all having so much fun!
