Location: Sandy Spit, Green Cay

Today was a chill day for side by side. Our two chefs, Leuck and Cate, made some delicious french toast. Gianna introduced us to one of her favorite food combos, french toast, and peanut butter. I enjoyed it very much. Next, we got the boat ready for a sail. Our main focus today was practicing our man overboard procedures. Hugh and Sean helped raise the main sheet, and then we were off. We learned two different ways to save a person who fell off of the boat. Both of which involved everyone on the boat yelling, “MAN OVERBOARD.” We all agreed that Emerson was the loudest. When we arrived at Sandy Cay, we had some yummy chicken salad wraps for lunch. We then took our knots exam, which consisted of 7 different knots. Everyone passed! We all cooled off by jumping off of the boat. Luke impressed us with his flips off of the deck. Just when we thought our day couldn’t get any better, Margaux surprised us with some time on the beach. We met a few other boats on the beach and had tons of fun. Mariah and Selah enjoyed swimming in the waves while Charley played a game of sand soccer. We ended the night with yet another great meal from our chefs, franks, and beans. I can’t wait to see what the rest of the trip has in store for us.
