Location: Mountain Point, Virgin Gorda

Our day started at midnight by singing happy birthday to Gwynnie while eating her favorite snacks that we had purchased yesterday during shore time. In the morning we woke up in Leverick Bay to a birthday song at 7:00 am for Gwynnie’s sweet 16. We had oatmeal for the first time on this boat for breakfast, then headed to the dock to refill on our water tank. After, we sailed for a couple of hours headed for Savannah bay and were able to complete multiple 360s (shoutout to Blake and Iris) while “racing” against another Mono haul (we won). Bryce and David helped a lot with trimming the Jib and helping us move faster while others (Lilly, Coco, Anna, Elle, and Clara all took a much needed nap). We then ate deli sandwiches in lunch to fuel up for the Boat Olympics. After getting hyped up for the Olympics, we rode a dinghy to the beach while Will unfortunately had to stay back and fix the boy’s bathroom. Although Ellery still felt a little sick, she felt way better and was thankfully able to join us for the Olympics. The first game was tug of war, which we unfortunately did not win but still put in a lot of effort (including Clara and Sloane’s tactics) and enjoyed it. However, we did win our second round of tug of war, so we were not the biggest losers. Then we unfortunately got last place in our second game where David and Blake were picked to swim out to a dinghy and climb on it while staff members acted as tough obstacles by pushing them (mostly Blake) off the dinghy. However, we did not let this loss affect us for our next game which was filling up a can of Pringles with water. The challenge was that the can had to stay on the beach and we had to get the water by soaking up t-shirts and taking water in our mouths. We won this game with second place!! Our final game was balancing on a fender. David was picked to represent us for this game and did so well, we managed to win 2nd place again. After getting back on our boat, we quickly went over to Mountain Point to take our ocean showers and eat an amazing dinner prepared by Clara, who did an amazing job making Ceasar Salad. We then cleaned really well and Anna, Coco, and Elle prepared a delicious cake for the birthday girl. It was the best day by far!
