Location: Sidney's, Jost van Dyke
Today was tiring, but fun. We woke up far too early to loud music as per usual, and had a breakfast of cereal prepared by Breckyn and Arthur (the only meal they had to make the entire day) as we prepared to leave our mooring ball. We arrived at the island where we would be hiking at about 6 am. Maddie, Zoe, and Addy walked together, while Ellis walked with some friends from another boat. Some crazy people, including Arthur and Dillon, decided to run up the mountain we were hiking up; however, that sentiment didn’t survive long, because the first half mile of the hike was a brutal, almost 45-degree incline up a mountain. Once I got to the top, I took some photos and had two banana smoothies, and then I took a jungle hike to the very peak of the mountain, but I never made it up because I got lost halfway up and ended up in an area with a bunch of bats flying around, and turned back. After a lunch in town with Ellory and some people from other boats, we got back on the boat and sailed to a random desert island, where we had a sand castle competition. I also got a coconut from a tree and drank the water in it. After that, we went to the BBQ where we got some cool shirts. I met some new people, did some dancing, and I also saw Sloan, Kennedy, and Maya hanging out. The BBQ food was pretty good, and I enjoyed talking to the man himself, Big Mike, while I was eating. After the BBQ, we all went back to the boat to wind down.
