Hello, I am Gabby! Today, the boat dialed into a competitive mood. The staff started the day with an early morning sail to Anegada, while the rest of us were able to sleep in a few extra hours. Once arriving in Anegada, we started to get excited for the incoming “Boat Olympic” Games between the boats, motivated by amazing pancakes made by Lorelai. Angie and I made a chant in a total of 5 minutes for the boat competitions to the popular song Yeah Glo! It was then time to board the boats to the shore. After arriving at the shore, we did our chants to intimidate the other boat teams. The first game was a Tug of War. The entire team put all of their effort into the first game. Evan and Vanessa lead with their strength at the back, and Eli and Chrissy lead at the front of our side of the rope. The team unfortunately finished in last place for that challenge, but that’s ok because the day was not over! The next game was soaped up dinghies. The team ended up forfeiting in the end, however we showed extremely good results especially from Ella, Mar, and Laila as they battled the staff member to boost themselves up onto the boat then run back to their team for the next runner. Sedora, Reed, and Angie lead the next challenge. They used balance and determination to stay on the fenders. This leads us to the end of the game. Our team placed 4th. We then returned back to the boat to start our sail training with Riley, where we have been learning g about wind direction in relation to the boat and boat lines. We arrived back to Mountain Point after navigating strong waves. We finished the day with a great dinner and a scuba chat!
