Location: On Passage to Saba
Hi, my name is Jada, and today I am the skipper of “Meow or Never.”
The day started with a wake-up call at 7 am. However, Mary and I woke up at 5:15 am to watch the sunrise for her birthday. Aidan and Matty P snuckily hung a Happy Birthday banner up in the salon, which was super sweet. After breakfast, we started our day with some water sports. While waiting for our turn to go out on the water, we had the opportunity to hang out with the other ship in our fleet, “Mary Lee”. We played a bunch of different card games, including Hearts and Spoons. Eventually, it was my turn to go out on the dinghy to try some cool sports. I got to try kneeboarding for the first time alongside Anno. It’s pretty much this board you kneel on. On the flip side, Ari and Ethan were pros.
When we got back to the boat, we played a few games that Anda bought; it was nice because I felt I got closer to Ale and Carolina. After that, we began a short sail to Spanish Town, which is where we are clearing out of customs. While in Spanish Town, we all walked to the store and got our final snacks and goodies before leaving the territory. Aidan and Sela went on a mission to go find pirate hats for him and Matty P (because nice again, we are now pirates. Shortly after that, Aidan lost his wallet, and we did a little bit of “treasure hunting”. We couldn’t find it, but when Sela, Aidan, and Davis were on their way to the grocery store for provisions, a man pulled over and gave them Aidan’s wallet, which he found. Finally, it was time for dinner, but as it was Mary’s birthday so we ended with a very special cake. It was a pirate’s birthday! Mid-dinner, a mini dance party broke out, and Claire and I were burning up the dance floor. As today comes to an end, we activate our inner pirates and begin our treacherous voyage to Saba. YO- HO
