Location: Savanna Bay, Virgin Gorda

Day 3 started with an early wake-up at 7 in Great Harbor Peter- but a couple of people were able to get an extra thirty minutes of sleep 😴 before an incredible breakfast of scrambled eggs 🍳 and muffins. Right after breakfast, we lifted our anchor and headed for road town to stock up before tomorrow’s overnight sail. Anda was at the helm for most of the morning. Once we arrived in Road Town, It took us nearly 20 minutes of walking in circles to find the grocery 🛒 store to buy snacks and seasickness medicine. We bought all sorts of snacks and drinks, from Gatorade and energy drinks to fun dip and chips. Ethan even bought a roll of paper towels for some unknown reason. Once we arrived back at the boat, we put all of our snacks away and put our PFDs back on to prepare for our long sail to Savannah Bay, where we will be staying for the night. Ethan started us on the helm while Anda, Anno, and I sweated the main sail. Ale and Carolina enjoyed sitting on the bow of the boat during the first part of our sail. After Ethan, I took over the helm. Throughout the day, every person got a chance to helm, and Jada said the highlight of her day was being able to tack for the first time! We had deli Sandwiches and PB and J for lunch, but they were quite difficult to make because the boat was moving pretty fast. I was able to take a wonderful nap during our sail, but I was woken up by Abba blasting over the speakers. After our 5-6 hour sail to Savanna Bay, we put our anchor down. Ethan, Ari, and Anno cooked up Alfredo pasta for dinner. Before dinner started, Mike came over to join us and inspect our treasure coin. Unfortunately, he broke the coin in half, so we may or may not be cursed for the remainder of the trip. After dinner and clean up, we headed over to Mary Lee to learn how to use harnesses for our night sail and how to mark our location on a chart. Now we are headed to bed for our last sleep before our first night sail to Saba!
