Location: The Bight, Norman Island

Today we had an early start with a 7 am wake-up call. It was our last morning in Antigua. We said our goodbyes as we pulled out of the docks for our 12-hour sail to St Barth’s. To pass the time, Carolina, Ethan, Ale, and I practiced tying all sorts of knots. I also taught Ari to braid, which I am proud to say he has now mastered. During most of the sail, there was no land in sight which was really cool. For lunch, we had sandwiches which were pretty tasty. Dinner was fantastic, as usual, with the help of some pretty cool beats. As the sun set, everyone gathered in the power tower to watch one of the most beautiful sights I’ve ever seen. As the sun set, Sela gave Captain Redbeard (Matty P) a stellar haircut which was very impressive because of the constant rocking. Despite what everyone else says, I think the night passages are some of the best moments on this trip. Somehow we managed to squeeze nine people into the power tower. We Sang songs, told stories, and enjoyed the night breeze for the rest of the night. Mary, Anda, Ethan, and Ari bonded over their favorite movie, Claire and Carolina navigated, and Anno was rocking out to his “dad rock”. As the wee early morning hours approached, we finally pulled into St Barths to end our day and our wonderful passage.
