Location: Marina Cay
Hey guys!!! It’s Ellie, and I was skipper today! Today started off on a really good note. Everyone woke up without the need for music or any type of alarm and was ready for the day because of a good long sleep. Unfortunately, we had run surprisingly low on water, which meant we needed to go on land (yay). After breakfast, we were set and ready to sail! We decided to split up our group for the man overboard drills(not with a real person of course), one group for the morning and one group for the afternoon. Sipora decided she would take the duty of guiding the boat to the buoy. While Makena, Ellie, Owen, and Evie took the duty of hooking it out of the ocean and bringing it to the deck. Jack took the responsibility of pointing to the buoy while we inched slowly but surely to it. Finally, we got to it, and Makena gracefully grabbed it out of the water, then accidentally spilled an entire bucket of salt water upon herself. Evie and Owen were supportive peers yet couldn’t help to break into laughter. Eventually, we made it to Leverick Bay! We got lunch and then headed to the stores, then darted back to the boat.
Now that it was the afternoon, we had to sail to a new destination (Marina Cay). Our new group consisted of Henry, Ella, Robert, Sophia, Miles, and Ben. Sipora drove the boat again! While for the position of fender gatherer Henry, Miles, Sophia, and of course, our back up gatherers Robert/ Ella. Henry gathered the fender with the support of his peers, and with that, we were headed to Marina Cay. When we got there, we had a nice dinner, talked for a bit, and got ready for bed. Although it was a lot of things to do today, we rest assured got them done. I miss you, Rosie Liam Emma, Mom and Dad, bird, bear, Lincoln, Sakayla, and Lovey!
