Location: Anegada

Today we woke up in Leverick Bay at a reasonable time (around 7 am) so that we could set sail to Anegada. We had a long sail ahead, so Blake, Mathew, Violet, and I each took turns at the helm. Some of us also worked on the running lines, including Luke, Scarlett, and Micah. We finally arrived in Anegada at 11:30 am. We were hyped and ready for the AQ Boat Olympics! The Nomads ate a deli sandwich for lunch to get some quick pre-Olympic protein. Before we left for the beach, Scarlett brought a lot of energy to the team and hyped us all up. To get to the beach where we’d have the competitions, we took Crusher, the dinghy, over. The games we played were Paddleboard Joust, Fender Balancing, Water Relay, Turtle Life, Staff Rodeo, and Tug of War. We got First place in Fender balancing, thanks to Louella. Then a team effort to bring home the gold in Water Relay and staff rodeo. We earned silver in Paddleboard Joust and Turtle Life (an obstacle race to fill a cup) and Tug-o-War, which gave us enough points to win the whole competition. After about 3-4 hours, we rode the dinghy back to the boat and took showers. Evan and Brendan started dinner, and the rest of us sat and chilled til dinner. Finally, we started cleanup, and Luke and Daniel made brookies to celebrate our win.
