Location: Mountain Point, Virgin Gorda
We all started the day in good spirits because we were able to sleep in until 9! Some of us were sleeping outside, so we had to take down our hammocks and go inside or put on PFDs. For breakfast, we ate oatmeal and cereal, which is always a great meal. Once we were all fueled up we began our first rotation of the day, which was wakeboarding and waterskiing. Daniel, Blake, Cobrin, and I went on the first boat out and had a great time; Daniel even hit some awesome jumps! Once we were done with wakeboarding, we came back to the boat and chatted on the hard top while Garrison cooked up some mean grilled cheese sandwiches. Once we had finished a lunch of champions, we went to our next rotation, which was paddle boarding and sailing Zests. During this rotation, Blake and Daniel went out for a 2-hour adventure on a Zest while the rest of the boat had the chance to socialize with our sister boat Avizia. Violet and Micah painted their nails. After this rotation, we returned to our boat and had a navigation talk where Scarlett got very hyper and ended the talk laughing in tears which gave us all a good chuckle. After, Violet, Blake, and Cobrin started on dinner, Mexican night! After the dinner, we all got geared up and took the dinghies out to the location of our night dive, which was at the wreck of the Kodiak Queen. Louella was extremely nervous about the dive but went in anyway like a real trooper. The dive started with some navigation skills, and once everyone was done with their skills, we explored the wreck. As we started exploring, Matthew and Evan saw a squid swim by. As we explored further and got to the end of the wreck, a stingray came up off the deck of the ship and swam directly under Luke. We then slowly surfaced, and everyone got back in the dinghies, and we drove back to the boat, all sharing our stories from the dive.
