Location: Mountain Point, Virgin Gorda
Slightly later than normal, we woke up to a big batch of scrambled eggs and blueberry muffins and began to get ready for our first dive of the day, the Chimneys dive. This first dive was part of our underwater naturalist specialty, and we were tasked with identifying different types of marine species and also swimming through a little underwater tunnel. On the dive, we were surrounded by sea nettles, and several people, including me, Ashton, Annabelle, and Hayden, got quite close to them. Next, we sailed on to Great Dog Island to explore the wrecks of three small planes that have been turned into sharks. We were able to check them all out and just play around on the sand. Oscar took a video of Ashton and Hayden’s fin fight on the sea floor, and we were allowed to try to navigate back and ascend on our own. After the dive, we went back to Mountain Point, and the Dolphins did their Oceanography talk that Oscar and Faith joined.
