Location: Savanna Bay, Virgin Gorda

Today, I woke up to a beautiful sunrise on the roof of the boat. Then I got ready for the day. Breakfast was yogurt, bagels, and fruit prepared by today’s chefs, Parker and Malea. Then, we started sailing to Blue Chromis for our first real dive. The people doing the Neptune program, Katie, Parker, Mason, and Maya, left on a Dinghy to meet with the other people in their program to dive.

Meanwhile, the people on the Dolphin program, Jasper, Megan, Sean, Reese, Malea, and Lucy, got introduced to what we will be working on, which is basically a research project. The other people doing Dolphin joined us on our boat. We get to come up with a question and investigate about it while diving. After that, everyone went on a dive into a beautiful site next to a cliff. When we were all back, the chefs started on lunch, which was sandwiches. Then we began sailing to Savannah Bay, Virgin Gorda, a really pretty bay with many other boats. The green of the trees in the bay is the perfect shade of green in my opinion. As we sailed there, we read about the theory of night diving. I finished both reviews, and I think I am good to go. Once we got here, we all went swimming next to the boat, took ocean showers, and put on dry clothes. But just after I had dried off, we got the chance to water ski or wakeboard. Will, Katie, Megan, and Reese went, but I didn’t want to shower again. As they water skied, We played music and talked on the boat. Then it started raining; the rain looked very scenic in such a beautiful place. After that, we had Alfredo pasta, salad, and hot dogs for dinner. Overall, it was a good day.
