For a nice early morning start on laundry day, we started our morning at 5 am by giving Emma our blankets to wash and putting on our PF-Dizzy’s (Life Jackets). Why? I don’t know. After getting suited up and sailing, everyone immediately went back to bed because 5 am is much too early. After finally getting all the way up and a crazy morning sail, we assembled our watch teams. Watch team 1; Hayden, Elle, Will, and Lilly, aka NuNu, Brown Blaster, Footy, and Americana. Watch team 2; Maddison, Sophie, Joey, Chloe, aka Weather Boy, Jerry, The Cheese Man, and Uncle Leach.
And last but not least, watch team 3; Emily, Liam, Lilli, and Ben, aka Sun Baby, Hole Boy, Rockmellon, and Ben 10. We all rotated, steering the ship and manning the sheet lines, doing tacks and Jibes to practice our ship skills and hitting every point of sail. After a long day of sailing practice with our watch teams, all of which rotated at the helm, we got back to Mountain Point for a nice saltwater shower and some more relaxation. We also sang “The Points of Sail,” a song which goes, “The points of sail! *4 claps* The points of sail! *4 claps* The points of sail, the points of sail! Close Hull, Close Reach, and Beam Reach! Broad Reach and Running Free!”. Then eating a well-prepared Thanksgiving Dinner made by Lilli and Sophie, we all laughed and shared good times to the beautiful Caribbean sunset, closing our night with a nice card game of spoon around the cabin table.
