Location: Vixen Point, Gorda Sound
Today we woke up to Chef Sophia and Sou Chef Luke C cooking up some tasty French toast with cantaloupe. We had another rotation day, starting with JT, Luke A, and Grace doing a skills dive, followed by leading the Quest boat in their Discover Scuba Diving dive. The rest of us started off with either wakeboarding, water skiing, kneeboarding, or Zesting. Katie W, Sophia, and Maya all decided to go testing, which they said was fun. Everyone else chilled out for a little bit, and then Ellie, Anna, Paige, Katie S, and I decided that we wanted to go do all three water sports. Ellie started off by getting up right away on the wakeboard, making it look way too easy, then I tried wakeboarding after Ellie, and it took me at least six or seven attempts before I finally got up for only about fifteen seconds. Even though it was short-lived, I was so happy I finally got up on that stupid board. Anna then got on the kneeboard and did her first 360 on the board, which was kinda impressive. I got to give it to her. Our Next rotation was an obstacle course on boat Shamrari and BDV against boat Friendship, and of course, your’s truly boat Avizia easily won even though we were down three people. At the end of the rotations, we headed to the barbecue, which was at a beautiful location called Levrick. There was a large buffet with great food and a local DJ named DJ Heavy Beats. He was pretty good, but he was playing a lot of cringy old songs, but they still got everyone dancing and singing, which was fun. After the barbecue, we had to get dinghied back to the boat because there wasn’t enough room at the dock for our boat, and everyone was so tired from the dancing and grooving that everyone fell asleep pretty fast.
