Hey, ya’ll, Maddie here! Today we had yet another amazing day starting off sailing with a great family breakfast, including bagels and yogurt. When we arrived at our dive site of the day after a 3-hour sail and a nice nap, we geared up and got some downtime to chill and chat with our boat family. Sophie and Hayley then made an amazing lunch full of sandwiches and bananas to give us energy for our big dive today. Yummy! After lunch and a quick tanning session with Elizabeth, we all went to the tramp to get our equipment to have our first deep dive ever! As we got in the water, Franny said to all of us as we were descending, I love you all. It was so funny because we all were a little nervous at first. Sophie, my diver buddy, and I were holding hands the whole way throughout the dive, and it was so much fun. We got to around 77 ft deep and saw a huge stingray and a baby remora that stuck onto our skipper CiCi, which was so cute. Our first deep dive went successfully, and we all loved it. After the dive, we had a small dive talk about what we saw and learned. We then got to swim and hang out after our dive and took our saltwater showers which felt pretty nice if I do say so myself. Our chefs of the day, Sophie and Hayley, then made a delicious dinner full of beans and burritos that had us full. After dinner, we had a wreck dive talk with all of the Neptune students about what we will be experiencing tomorrow, woot woot! Talk to y’all later!!
