Location: Vixen Point, Gorda Sound
Hi parents. This is Mateo. We were very busy yesterday, so sorry this is late. First, we woke up to Crumpet (CiCi) telling us to put our PFDs on so we could steal the better mooring ball from the other boats. Elizabeth and Hayley cooked french toast for breakfast. Then we got ready to go for our naturalist dive. While on the dive, Eve and I identified several fish, plants, and invertebrates, but I still don’t know what an invertebrate is. Just joking. Then we sailed to Leverick Bay with Sean’s help. There we fueled up and went on shore for lunch. It was nice to finally get real Caribbean food, and Franny and Deej enjoyed their virgin pina coladas. We went back to the boat and got a little phone time on our way to the beach. Madora told us that there was a hurricane coming. At the beach, Maddie played volleyball with Frankie and Hayley. While George and Franny played lacrosse. Then we got on the boat and got ready for the BBQ. We took some photos with Sophie’s camera. Then Jake got us soaked on the way to the BBQ. It was pretty fun, and everyone was excited for the next one. We were really tired and went back to the boat for a good night’s sleep.
