The number of skills I have learned at this camp has overwhelmed me. If I come out feeling like I have learned nothing else, I have learned leadership. This is the most important skill, as I will need this for everything I deal with in the future. I can also say that I have a stronger will and that this journey has shaped my personality indefinitely. Today I woke up to a happy, energetic group of friends whom I call family every morning. No group works better than we do. The sun was shining, and the day was ready to begin. We ate cereal, including fruit loops that someone had bought on land. Then I worked with Lindsey to complete the rest of my skills for the divemaster course. I also did four dives in a row, so that made me extremely tired but well worth it to complete part of my strenuous divemaster course. Then we got to spend time on land to call our parents, and I’m pretty sure everyone exceeded their chocolate/ice cream intake, but everyone agreed to YOLO. And yes, Adam ate four ice cream sandwiches, and yes, he said he could still eat more. I am now writing this blog and reading the fact that I will be studying all night for my divemaster’s final exam. I hope my hard work has paid off and I will pass- wish me luck!
