Location: Muskmelon Bay, Guana Island

Captain’s log: This morning was definitely a strange one. After waking me with tortillas in my hammock, I had to replace David as a super skipper. The staff had to go to a meeting soon after we all woke up. It was just our crew by ourselves. Even though the staff was gone, I was able to seamlessly keep everything under control with Hannah’s help. Breakfast was great, and we saw an awesome mystery fish. I have no idea what it was, but it liked cantaloupe. After breakfast, the underway preparations went perfectly. Everyone did their jobs and made Mad Max, David, and Anna proud upon their return. We then left our anchorage near Marina Cay and went on to practical sailing practice. We practiced tacks, jibes, man overboard scenarios, and sail trim. Bob, our man overboard fender, is such a klutz and fell off enough times for most of us to get a go at MOB practice. After the very, very long practice session, we went to Muskmelon Bay on Guana Island. Sam joined us for dinner and our squeeze. Apparently, according to people’s answers, I am the only Judas Priest fan on the boat. By the way, Sam was with us all day. He’s really helpful and has interesting tastes in music. Dinner was awesome tonight — chili and rice FTW. We’re about to watch Dead Poet’s Society, one of my fave movies.
