Location: Vixen Point, Gorda Sound

The day started off by waking up attached to another boat (rafted), and we ate cereal for breakfast. It’s another rotation day. We then learned about the RDP tables (scuba diving nitrogen injury prevention) from Cara. Then we went snorkeling in the mangroves. Maddy saw a pod of squids, Jon saw a baby barracuda, and Alex saw sea turtles. We were there for ~30 minutes. We then headed back to the chaos barge (the two boats held together). Jon went zesting. Bridget, Alex, Niko, Casey, Max, Maddie, Macy, and Caroline went water skiing, and Niko did 32 360s in a row, beating the previous record he set the day before of 28. Me and Ariana, and Erica stayed back and witnessed some giant waves (waves that other boats cause) knock the two boats together, knocking down everything on the dining table. Then we had turkey, cheddar, and broccoli soup with saltines for lunch. We hung out on the boat for around 2 hours before Alex untied the dinghy from the boat so it was floating away with Jon, Caroline, Niko, and Erica on it, and they had to swim the dinghy back.

Later, Jon spotted a big barracuda while hanging out on the dinghy. No one believed Jon about the Barracuda, so we all hopped in the water for a swim. Then the barracuda came back, and we all scrambled out of the water. We then all took Hibiclens showers to prevent skin infection. Then we got our phones for around an hour and a half and called our parents. After that, we went to shore to go to the barbecue, and we got there at least an hour early and explored the area, and bought some snacks at the shop there. Niko tried Jello, but they don’t have it in Germany, and he almost threw up, so he sprinted into the bathroom. Ariana also almost threw up just from seeing the Jello. About an hour later, everyone else arrived on dinghies. We were then informed that we had to stay there until 10 pm (It was 6:30). Everyone partied on the dance floor to DJ Heavy Beat’s sick beats. We got picked up in the last dinghy out, and we all gathered our laundry to give to the staff and then dozed off.
