Location: Anegada

Today we started off by sailing to a small beach for the Boat Olympics. On the way over to the Boat Olympics, we had a slow wake-up but were soon woken up by the pouring rain at 6 AM. Fortunately, but unfortunately, we woke up by the rain instead of our usual daily Sponge Bob the Musical song, our new boat theme song. On the way over, we all put up the sails. Once we arrived at Anegada, we helped anchor the boat, and Jace learned how to put the anchor bridle on. At the Boat Olympics, we had a paddle board “king of the hill” battle, in which Anton progressed his way up to the semi-finals. The second game was a “fender rodeo,” and Emma came close to balancing on the floating fender the longest but lost in the top 3. In the third game, we had to dig a hole in the sand under a paddle and climb under it, to then swim to a slippery dinghy with staff members trying to dislodge us from successfully getting into the dinghy. In the fourth game, everyone lined up, and the person on the end of the line spun five times around a fender and then crawled through the legs of the rest of the people in front of them to then run into the ocean to collect water to fill up the cup we were racing to fill. We then came back to the boat and motored around the corner to a new mooring field for the night. We ate a dinner of risotto and chicken salad cooked by Robby and Caroline, then we all sat down and reviewed for the scuba test tomorrow afternoon. Goodnight!
