The Almost Final Squeeze
Location: The Bight, Norman Island
Today is the last day that we will eat dinner on our boat, as tomorrow is the final BBQ. We were rafted with Avizia at “Great Harbor at Peter Island,” but at 3:30 am, Good Times came to prank Avizia and noticed we were drifting. Our staff members took the anchor off the bottom and derafted us to bring us to a new spot to anchor. When we woke up, our chefs, Isabel and Emma, made us pancakes. We sailed Meow or Never to Road Town, where we stopped for 3 hours for lunch and snacks. After the 3 hours, we left Road Town to The Bight Normand Island, where we are currently anchored. We put both sails up and enjoyed a pleasant sail in the afternoon. Before we anchored, Leah managed to complete her man overboard practical sailing test. When we anchored, the staff left for a staff meeting on Mike’s boat, and we were left alone to make dinner for about an hour. Dinner was good but sentimental for some. Every day at the end of dinner, we have a “Squeeze,” where you hold hands with the people next to you, the skipper of the day asks a question, and everyone answers the question and says their appreciation of the day. Today I(Anton) asked the last question of the trip. Tomorrow is the last full day before we fly home, some of us are happy, and some of us are sad, but all can say that we learned a lot and are happy to have met some of the people here.
