Location: Vixen Point, Gorda Sound

Today, we woke up to a tasty breakfast made by Tucker and Ella, which consisted of cereal and fruit. As we all fueled for a long day of rotations, Rachel and I enjoyed our first cup of coffee in a week and became extra excited to start the day. Our first rotation was learning how to tie eight different knot variations, which we’d use around the boat; Freddy perfected all the knots and helped teach his crew mates. As some of us went to the next rotation of water sports, Molly, Ella, and Greta stayed back with the rest to relax and finish making their friendship bracelets. After Claire returned from wakeboarding, the group hopped in the dinghy and headed to the beach to sail in the zest boats. Me and my zesty bestie, Carson, sailed (almost) flawlessly until a storm rolled in, and we had to go back to shore. The whole group enjoyed swimming in the pouring rain while Jordan and Brig played mermaids in the ocean. After lunch and taking a test on our RDP tabes for diving, we all got ready to sail to land for our beach BBQ. Before going onto land, we all got our phones back to call home for the first time on the trip. We enjoyed hearing our families and friends’ voices and introduced each other to some of our loved ones. Finally, we were ready to go to dinner with the rest of the boats, where we all enjoyed a nice fresh meal and then danced for hours to music provided by a lovely DJ. Everyone from our boat, Odyssey, was first to step on the dance floor, and we all danced until the night was over.
