Location: Sandy Spit, Green Cay
On this day we did many activities. The first activity that we did was zesting (mini-sail boats); we split up into five groups. Groups: Niko-Henry, Mac-Ava, Emily-Louise, Aleks-Peppertrick, and lastly, Koko-Abby. Unfortunately, we couldn’t do anything because there was no wind at all, so Ava, Mac, Emily, and Louise switched to paddle boarding. But we boys still wanted to zest, so we just continued doing it. Eventually, we regretted it so much because we had to push the zests back to the boats. After this, we ate mac and cheese, and then we headed to the Highlander boat to get our certifications in Scuba Diving.
To get certified, we had to demonstrate different skills underwater; these included CESA (going up and making an Ahhhh sound), swimming with flooded goggles, out-of-air situations, etc. Everyone got their certifications, except for me and Koko, as we missed dives. Shortly afterwards, we sailed to our final destination, specifically to sandy spit, it’s a very small island with only two trees in it. On this island, we had our last BBQ day, so we tried to enjoy it fully. After finishing our meals, we would either talk with each other or play football with people from other boats. Later, we got picked up by a dinghy, and during the ride, we were told that at 12 am, there would be a meteor shower; everyone was excited about it, as no one had ever seen such an event. Shortly after we showered, our staff members scared us about the buttworms, so the showers were very short, as we would overthink about it. There was no squeeze question today because there was no time for it. Everyone wanted to see the meteor shower, so we stayed up until 12 am. To waste time, we played some cards, but right before the event, Abby, Henry, and Koko fell asleep on the rooftop. To stargaze, Ava, Louise, Emily, and Mac lay on the net. We saw some crazy shooting stars, which we won’t forget.
For the recap, I would say that this was one of the most memorable days.
