Hey, y’all, it’s Ella! Today was another amazing day! We started the day with blueberry muffins (that were extra blue) and eggs made by Angie and Lorelai! Afterward, we sped through clean-up and went to prep for the day!
Today was yet another rotation day, started by water sports. Krisi completed her goal of lasting one minute on the wakeboard with the support of Sedora, Mar, and Eli. Back at the boat, half the group read, relaxed, and slowly woke up before heading to dive!
On the dive boat, everyone got their kits together and then separated into groups: group one – advanced and group two – open water. Lorelai, Reed, Evan, and Eli (the advanced group) worked on perfecting buoyancy with their instructor, Amanda. Gabby, Vanessa, Sedora, Layla, Krisi, and Mar worked on skills in shallower water (Which they perfected, obviously)
We finished the rotations for lunch shortly after with a zesting race (a mini sailboat), which was rough with the changing wind pattern. For lunch, we had a soup that everyone was skeptical about, but it turned out to be amazing, and we all cleaned our bowls!
After lunch, we prepared ourselves for a hike. It was straight up an island formed by volcanic rocks, which was the highlight of my trip personally. The views were unmatched, and most of our group enjoyed it! We returned to the boat slightly tired and sweaty, but nonetheless, we rushed into our dress clothes for a fleet-wide barbecue!
Everyone had fun playing on the beach while eating a mix of hotdogs and hamburgers. Angie and friends from other boats all played football on the beach, with Angie obviously scoring a touchdown and interception. A little while after the sunset, we headed to the boats for a nighttime saltwater shower. Elias, Lorelai, Reid, and I even had a blast on the hike.
