Location: Vixen Point, Gorda Sound

This morning, we slept for 15 minutes and started the day off with a dive chat with Gary. We learned about fish families and the features we can use to identify them. Our next rotation was paddle boards at the beach, where we played a game where we spun around a paddle five times, flipped in the water three times, and then ran back—the team with Caroline, Emilia, Grayson, Corn, LJ, and Captain Drippy Dreads. Next, we had another dive chat about buoyancy because we struggled with it during our navigation dive. For lunch, we had PB&J sandwiches made by our fantastic chefs, Andrew B., Sloane, and Isabelle Drain. After lunch, Andrew D went wakeboarding, and Thea went kneeboarding. The rest of the boat went to see flamingos while Sloane and Sophia took a nap. We set sail to Leverick Bay, which was only 10 minutes from where we were. When we got there, we went to the grocery store and got food while Andrew B and Chase went clothes shopping. Then we all went to the boat and got to go on our phones and talk to our families. At the BBQ, Corn comforted a girl in need and made friends with Caroline’s sister. Caroline and I talked to our old counselor who confirmed that we are wayyyyyy better than her new boat. We ended the day with a choppy and stressful dinghy ride back from the BBQ and sang Nat to sleep. Overall, a fantastic rotation and BBQ day that I personally would rate a 9.73/10.
With loads and loads of love and enthusiasm,
