Location: Anegada

Today started off strong with Corn and Chase making French toast. We ate three full loaves of bread! Today was a big day, so Garrison decided to wake us up with his signature circus music. The reason today was so important was because we had the boat Olympics. The boat Olympics are where we compete with three other boats to see which one could win in a set of challenges. The boat raced Meow or Never to the island of Anegada, where the Olympics took place. We just barely beat them after a short sail. Corn brought out his zinc body markers, and we all got designs on our backs and faces. Andrew B. got Nat to draw wings on him.

We began with a tug of war. Our first opponent was the boat Graytful. We barely edged out a win in the first round after a pep talk from our counselors. Beso Del Viento then beat Meow or Never. Unfortunately, though, we lost to Beso in the final round. The next game was a relay race/obstacle course. Three of us at a time would have to put floating chiclets on our backs and fronts, run to the water, do three flips, and climb onto a soaped-up dinghy with counselors trying to push us off. Then, those three would run back and tag in the next group.

The first group, Emilia, Caroline, and Chase, crushed it and got our team a massive breakaway. This, thankfully, allowed us to crush the other boats and win. After the win, we had two more activities. First, we had to send in a representative from our boat to balance on a fender in the middle of the crowd. Jack H, Chase, and I all took our turns. Chase got first, while Jack and I both got second. The last game was a paddleboard fight. All of the boats sent up a single person at a time to have a sumo fight with a chiclet. We had three rounds, of which we won 1, tied 1, and lost 1. The best match was Lyla’s, and we cheered the whole time. Overall, our boat performed incredibly well, and we are all proud of it. After the event, we returned to the boat, and the chefs with Sophia made Mexican food. After dinner, Thea initiated a tortilla slapfight, and the whole boat was covered in pieces of tortilla. Also, Sloane finished her book, and we watched the sunset over the island. Lastly, we finished the day with a dive chat.
