Location: Mountain Point, Virgin Gorda
Today, everyone started off the morning very early. We awoke to the sound of music at 5:45, played by none other than Drippy Dreads himself(Mel). Violet, Devyn, Alex, and Delfinna slept on the deck, while Graham, Reed, and Liam slept on the power tower (top floor) on hammocks. Daisy, Lawson, Antonio, and I slept in the cockpit. Antonio and Lawson slept in hammocks while me and daisy slept on the cushions in the cockpit. Besides the early wake-up call, everyone slept well. After raising the anchor at six, we quilted and sped over to baths—the baths pool in rocks/ caves that used to be a rest stop for slave ships.
Once we made it there, we had French toast prepared by Lawson (chef) and Graham (sous chef). We then boated on to the baths where we had to swim onto shore. Once there, we walked through the caves to a rock cliff, where we met up with all the other boats. While there, we did flips, dives, and death dives. Then, we headed over to Spanish Town. While there, we grabbed food at a local restaurant called Sleeping Turtle, where we had stalled wraps, burgers, and chicken wings for lunch. After we ate, we talked and played games. Afterward, we went to a local supermarket where we bought brownie chips, a pack of 25 cokes, Febreze, cereal (Lucky Charms), Ritz, vitamin packets, ice cream, and peanuts. After we bought our necessities, we were then lured in by some local vendors and bought fresh mangos, limes, and avocados. After we returned with our goodies, we went out sailing for the first time! We put out both sails and then we learned all the parts of the boat and helped raise the sail. We then ended the day with some chile that I thought was delicious. Now, we are all having a dance party in the rain.
