Location: Mountain Point, Virgin Gorda

In Savannah Bay, after a night of some light rain, we woke up early and had bagels and yogurt for our breakfast. Soon after, we all put on our life jackets as we started our sail to The Baths, with my (Jada’s) choice of music, Mamma Mia. We were determined to be one of the first ones, and as we arrived before the majority of the boats, we got to see the cool formations and cliffs of the Baths! Each boat went in a dinghy to make a wet landing on the white beaches of the Baths, which was exciting as we all rolled backward off of the dinghy and swam to shore. Then, once the rest of the boats came, we all traveled through a very interesting path of rocks and stairs to make our way to the cliff. Everyone jumped off in different ways, such as Emily and I (Jada) front flipping, Eli back flipping, and Amy and Chase jumping and holding hands. After tiring ourselves with jumping off the cliff, we all relaxed in the water near shore and played games. Eli, Finn, Vaughn, Cameron, and Magnus entertained themselves by wrestling Tony, one of the staff members, which only left them in defeat.

The girls, Emily, Chase, Amy, Ellory, Sloane, Breckyn, and I, on the other hand, enjoyed chicken fighting. After some time at the Baths, around 10:30 am, we dingy-ed back to our boat and had our first hibicleanse shower, where we showered in the saltwater as normal, then put on our hypo cleanse to avoid infections! However, with our fresh water tank at 10%, we had to all be cautious of the amount of water we used to rinse off. We are still getting used to living on a boat and water usage. All clean, we started our sail to Spanish Town, which only took about 30 minutes. After we arrived, we each got our money to spend and headed out into town. Our staff had told us of the amazing burgers they had at the restaurant, which most of us ordered for our lunch. Amy, Chase, Emily, and I walked to the ice cream store and ate mint chocolate chip, chocolate, cookies, and cream ice cream, which was so refreshing. We checked out the stores, where Chase and Emily bought goggles, and Cameron bought a whole bag of limes for guacamole…, but it turned out we didn’t have any avocados. Around 2:30 pm, after everyone was done exploring Spanish Town, we were underway and sailing to Mountain Point. Throughout our sail, Emily and I learned some sailing terms as everyone else played Uno and Mafia. After a few hours, we arrived at Mountain Point, but right when we arrived, our dingy line got caught on the propeller.

While our staff helped to fix this problem, Emily and Cameron, our chefs, cooked our dinner, which was chili and rice. With the trouble of the caught dingy line, making dinner was a hassle, and Emily ended up dropping a pot lid on Cameron’s foot, but it was still his favorite part of the day! At some point, Eli started a “clothespin war”, and everyone was putting clothespin in each other’s hair. Annika especially had the most clipped in her hair! After all the chaos, we all finally had our dinner, which turned out decent! We had our “squeeze” time, where everyone shared a fun fact, and the “squeeze” activity was reverse hide and seek. Cameron went to hide, and the whole boat had to find him. Once he was found, we had to hide with him. He surprisingly fit in a closet in the guy’s cabin, which meant we all had to hide in the guy’s room with him. After the fun game, we ended the night with our dive quizzes.
