Location: Great Harbor, Peter Island

Today was the 4th of July, and Forever For Now was quite festive. We woke up around 7 am, and Maya pulled out her large collection of Fourth of July gear out of our cabin floor, which was complete with many light-up glasses, little hats, and necklaces. The entire boat got dressed up, including the staff, and we jammed to Patriotic music. Then, we sailed to Cooper Island and had breakfast, which was cereal and oatmeal. The sail was about an hour, and once we arrived, we started preparing for our first dive of the day. Maya, Parker, Katie, and Mason prepared for their 3rd wreck dive for their specialty. They were working on tying knots and creating underwater navigation lines to work on navigating the inside of shipwrecks with Cara.

Meanwhile, the dolphins (Jasper, Reese, Sean, Megan, Will, Paloma, Malea, and meeeee) had a fun dive at Blue Chromis with Kyler. There were so so many pretty fish and we did about a 40 minute dive. Paloma and I also found really pretty shells on the dive. After that, we had Mac N Cheese for lunch, which was prepared by our chefs, Sean and Megan. Right after lunch, our staff set up a rescue scenario for Aloha, the rescue diver boat, and we were able to watch from the roof, which was really fun. The rescue divers took a really long time to get into action, so while they were finishing the scenario, we all set up a pretend funeral for our staff on the boat (no staff was harmed in the scenario!!!). We really committed the bit and all put on black shirts and made little memorials for them with all their stuff which they found really funny. Then, some people had a nap or jammed to music on the boat. Then, it was time for the second dive of the day. The neptunes did another shipwreck dive, penetrating the wreck to finish their shipwreck specialty. The dolphins had another fun dive at Blue Chromis so Paloma, Megan, and I went for a solo dive to look around the reef more and also to search for more pretty shells. The others chose to have a relaxing afternoon, napping or reading on the boat.

Of special note, Megan saw a large lobster eating a conch on the solo dive. We were also able to successfully navigate ourselves back to the boat which was really exciting. After the dive, we started sailing back to GHP, where we were gonna anchor for the night. Granola Will played a mixture of music, which Reese and I danced to for a while in the cockpit. Once we arrived, Granola Will tried a new technique (inspired by Jim) where we rafted with Good Times and then anchor. Then it was time for us to ocean shower, which was so much fun, and we all swam around for a while. Dinner was then finished, and it was Mexican Night tonight (taco bar), which was deliciousssssss. After dinner, we did a squeeze, and the dolphins were preparing to present our presentations!

XO, Lucy (I ❤️ FOREVER FOR NOW)
