Nevis!! We pulled up to this wonderful island at 3:30 AM this morning! Our 6-hour sail was split up into three 2-hour shifts that we all rotated through. Interesting conversation at 1 AM got us through the night! After a short nap, we awoke again to a chocolate croissant breakfast before Miranda and Violet had to leave to go horseback riding! The rest of us stayed back to have a chill morning. Around 11, we took the dinghy to shore to catch a cab that brought us to this beautiful beach, where Johnathan and Alex left for a mountain biking tour of the island.
Meanwhile, Ana, Sophie, Noah, and I jumped in kayaks for a fun paddle day! The kayak group found a cute restaurant to buy delicious fish tocos and banana smoothies. Shipmates stayed at their activities until 4, then we all met back up together at the beach in front of our boats. We had some time to hang out in the water at the beach before we had to head back for a shower and an outfit change. Then we got treated to a land dinner, served family style at this amazing waterfront restaurant, Sunshine! We all enjoyed getting dressed up cute and having some delicious food for dinner! We wrapped up the night with a squeeze back at the boat! People hit their beds shortly after that in preparation for our long sail to Antigua tomorrow.
