Location: BVI to Saba
Hi yall! It’s Ella. Today we woke up and started the day off learning how to tie knots and had a briefing on our sail from savanna bay to saba. We lifted the dingy all the way out of the water and strapped it up onto our boat. Then we set sail at around 11:00, and watch 1 (Adam, Rainy, and Ainsley) started the first watch. We all sat around the cockpit, took a lot of sea sickness meds, and listened to music while we left the BVI. Three hours later, watch two stared (mason, Ella, and Emilia), which is when everyone got very, very seasick. We made sandwiches for lunch. Soon after, we had three dolphins join us on our journey to saba, doing flips and jumps at the bow of the boat. We then made chili for dinner, and our first night shift started (Brennan, Julia, and gala). We watched as the sun set, and half of us went to bed so we could get rest before our night’s watch. Soon after, our 16-hour sail was over, and we arrived at saba at 4 am. Tomorrow we should go diving and hiking and were all so excited to start a new day!
