Location: Savanna Bay, Virgin Gorda
Hey everyone, it’s Ainsley here to bring you the latest from Shape Up! We started off our day with students hitting the water for some water sports, and Emilia had a chance to show off her impressive slalom ski (single ski) skills! Afterward, we sat down for some cream cheese bagels and yogurt. Mason and Brennan were our chefs for today, and Rainey, Emilia, and Ella were working hard in the dishy pit. We cleaned up, passage prepped, and got the dingy on deck to prepare for our first passage to Saba. We learned about the rules of the night watch, with extra emphasis on safety precautions (harnesses and tethers). After lunch, we motored over to Spanish Town, where everyone had a chance to wander and stretch their legs. When we returned to the boat, we found out that our passage would have to wait one more day because customs was closed, but we made the most of our free time with a small yoga lesson taught by yours truly! We headed back to Virgin Gorda in Savannah Bay for one last night, and Adam and Julia showed off their top-notch anchoring skills. We had a relaxing night and a good night’s sleep in preparation for our passage the next morning!
