Location: Great Harbor, Peter Island
Good morning everybody! Today, we finished our final passage from St. Barths to our home away from home, the British Virgin Islands. All of watch team 3, Nate, Christina, and Shawn, had to jibe 6 TIMES to get to where we finally anchored in Virgin Gorda around 8:45. We were welcomed with the “lovely” smell of the nasty sargasm. We were very disappointed though, because Harbor House Out, our fellow Minerva friends, actually beat us on passage(This will never happen again…) While everybody was on deck helping to raise anchor and prepare for docking, Christina was taking a Power Nap down in our cabin, and was banned from stepping out of the companionway because she couldn’t get to her PFD. Once we docked, Riley, our crazy excellent master, left to check us into customs and immigration, while we all had to do a complete boat clean. Once Riley got back to the boat, we left the boat for shore time in Spanish Town. After we all explored, we headed back to the boat, and Shawn showed off his durag(he looked ridiculous). After everyone got a good laugh at his crazy new look, we motored to The Baths: a truly amazing natural formation of boulders. We climbed the trail to get to the jumping rock, and Henry, Nate, and I all managed to scrape ourselves on the rocks trying to get there. Mateo showed off his multilingual skills by speaking Russian to a Russian family that was also jumping off the rocks. After everybody jumped at least once, we swam back to the dinghy to get back to Hagan Time. Shawn then twinned with Hayes by wearing his dreads while helming. Both Hagan Time and Harbor House got a very warm welcome from the rest of the Action Quest fleet as we joined them in the harbor. Once we moored, we had freshwater showers and a dinner of beans and franks made by Henry and Zoe. To top off the day, we finished with a triple squeeze. Goodnight everybody!
P.S. Most of the people on our boat now have a gambling addiction (involving card games and granola bars)
