Location: Great Harbor, Peter Island
The day started early for some and later for others. Shawn and Riley woke up before everyone else and moved the boat over to the dive spot, the wreck of the Rone. After they moved the boat, everyone woke up and had some breakfast made by Christiana and Mateo, which was French Toast. Directly after breakfast, we started taking our sailing and VHF radio test. Giles, Stella, Mateo, and Hayes all passed both tests the first time. Lauryl and Christina passed the second time they took it, but Shawn and Nate have to take it a third time later tonight. After we finished with all of the different tests, Zoe drove us in the dinghy up to the beach, where we hiked up a small mountain and had a cool view of the ocean and the dive boats. We made it back to the boat and immediately had a ramen lunch. After lunch, we all prepared to dive. Shawn had trouble equalizing and couldn’t go down, so he and his dive buddy, Hayes (me), who was also having problems with congestion, went back up to the top and did not end up diving the Rone. Once we got back to the boat, we set our sails for GHP, where we would spend the night. We finished out the day with the best meal, taco night, and after taco night, we are planning to watch a movie and cook brownies.
