Hey guys, it’s Mason. Today we all woke up at GHP and had a pretty chill morning. The counselors were busy refilling the air tanks after our night dive last night. It was much less scary this time, with far fewer jellyfish. Seeing the blue lights on the bottom of the boat through the water was really cool and felt almost ethereal. Today was also another big diving day, with one in the morning and one after lunch. Our morning dive marked our first ever adventure without a counselor in the water, so we had to navigate ourselves, which was actually a pretty fun challenge. It was super rewarding when we got it done. Before we left the site, we did flips off of the dinghy. After lunch, we dove another wreck, which was super cool. It was a bar that was sunk purposefully after Hurricane Irma. Caitlin was my buddy for this dive, and she started trying to sign stuff to me underwater, but Griff and I had no clue what she was saying. For example, I asked everybody to share a first impression of somebody on the boat, which turned out to be the most misleading, and it turned out to be pretty funny. Also, we have been trying to get Maxime to do a backflip all day, and he finally just hit one. As I’m writing this, there’s a brawl starting over the dishy pit (I think Sam threw a sponge at somebody). I’m gonna go see what’s up down there. Bye!
I lied, I’m back. WE ALL JUST GOT CERTIFIED AS ADVANCED OPEN WATER DIVERS!!!
