Location: Vixen Point, Gorda Sound
Today was a great one. It started off super early, with Andrew D, Grayson, and I waking up at 6:30 while the boat was already underway. All three of us had a good workout on the stern of the boat. Everyone else woke up around 7 o’clock when we arrived at The Baths, a national park that is well known for having huge boulders. After checking out the spot where Beyoncé took her pregnancy pictures, we got to climb and jump off huge cliffs while enjoying the crystal blue water. We then started to sail for the next docking spot, which was called Spanish Town. This was exciting because it was our first time on land since our journey began. We all ate lunch together in the town, and then we went to a bunch of stores, such as a grocery store, an ice cream shop, and a clothing boutique. At the candy shop, Corn was finally able to buy candy corn. Chase decided to buy Peroxyl, and the girls, including Emilia and Lyla, got snacks for the boat. Then, we started sailing for our final destination of the day. When we were sailing, I was lucky enough to take over as captain, helm the boat for an hour, and even anchor the boat. When we got there, Andrew D. and I practiced backflips off of the dinghy while Jack H spotted a sea turtle. After shower time, we ate beef stroganoff prepared by Sophia and Caroline. We finished off an eventful day by sitting outside and talking about our sailing plan for tomorrow.
