Location: The Bight, Norman Island
In Soper’s Hole, (Kennedy) and I woke up to the sunrise after a good night’s sleep. Katie, Pearl, and Suki, on the other hand, slept outside and got caught in light rain. Jovian claimed he woke up to the rain and then wandered around for thirty minutes. We all started preparing breakfast consisting of cereal and different fruits. The first meeting was long and some may have fallen asleep. But finally we set sail, while the instructors did most of the sailing, Gavin took a nap, which he swore was his favorite part of the day. Once we moored, the chefs Liliana and Dawson prepared us all some scrumptious sandwiches, and then the swim test began. Six whole laps around the boat were definitely challenging, but Andrew managed to finish first. Holden claimed that the reason he came in last was because of a “pulled muscle.” But then, when snorkeling, he said he had an amazing time in the cave. Cam also enjoyed swimming in the cave and seeing all the tarpon. Amaya overcame her fear of fish when she became one with striped lavender fish. For dinner, we all sat around the table, ate sloppy joes, talked about our favorite parts of the day, and answered the squeeze question of the night, which was,” What is your favorite place you have ever traveled?” After dinner, we started taking pictures during the sunset and looked forward to what tomorrow would bring.
