Location: Savanna Bay, Virgin Gorda
Today was our longest sail of the trip. Six hours felt like six bumpy years as we trailed the BVI waters. Thankfully, we kept occupied and took the opportunity to get ahead of the learning curve. Andrew, Jovian, Dawson, Pearl, and Katie assisted the staff during the sail and even raised the main sail. While the others helped, Kennedy and I (Amaya) read and took photos of the scenery. After 2 hours, we moored at Cooper Island for lunch and a swim. Our chefs, Cam and Holden, prepared our delicious lunch, followed by a refreshing swim, before heading off to our final destination, Savannah Bay. When we arrived, the open water group was taught how to set up scuba kits, and although everyone enjoyed it, Suki and Lilian were thrilled. After the lesson, everyone had showers, and a yummy dinner was prepared. For dessert, we all tried spicy gummy bears while being entertained by Andrew’s jokes. Our squeeze of the day was “What was your favorite TV show as a young kid?” and we all answered nostalgically. To end the day, we watched the beautiful sunset while blasting our favorite tunes.
