Location: Great Harbor, Peter Island
Today started off with a full extra hour of sleep. We were awoken by the counselors making chicken noises, and we all slowly got up, still groggy from sleep. Antara and Lucy began making breakfast while everyone else was getting dressed. We all happily gorged on pancakes with gallons of syrup and dollops of Nutella. We soon rushed to put on our PFDs so we could make our way to Road Town. Everyone hung out on the top deck playing categories as we let out the jib sheet and motored/sailed towards our destination. We took the dinghy to shore at a marina. The water was an absolutely revolting murky green color, and there were boats everywhere. We stopped to eat at a little oceanfront restaurant, where people ordered delicious pasta, saucy wings, chicken tenders, juicy burgers, and cheesy nachos. It took almost two hours for the food to come, so we took shifts while some people went to the market and others stayed behind to watch the table. Eventually, everyone got what they wanted, and we all shared a delicious meal together. We also had our phones for this venture, so we all contacted our family members and scrolled through our camera rolls to show each other pictures of our at-home lives. Later, we all piled into the dinghy, returning to our boats. We sat in the cockpit of the boat for a while, eating Nerds gummy clusters and listening to music until we set sail for our anchoring location. By the time we got back to the cove, we realized that I had done a terrible job at taking pictures for the blog, so we decided to do an ocean shower photoshoot. We all did shampoo hairstyles and leaped into the water.
Tony attempted to throw Robert, Wyatt, Nate, and JD into the water, which soon led to a massive girls vs boys paddle board battle. Each team tried to gain full control over the paddle board until they were epically tossed into the salty water below by the opposing team. Meanwhile, Jade and Sophia spent time on the dinghy, perfecting backflips. We soon got out of the water, and many of the boat members took their sailing nomenclature and knot-tying exams. Antara and Lucy set up a mouthwatering dinner of burritos and rice bowls. We have now finished dinner and everyone is cleaning up the aftermath of Mexican night. Send prayers for our stomachs after the beans! Love you, Rosie, Webb, Ellerbe, Mom, and Dad! Sorry, I didn’t call today.
