Location: Great Harbor, Peter Island

This morning, I awoke to the beautiful sounds of metal water bottles clanking against each other due to the waves we were actively crossing on our way to Salt Island Bay. Don’t fret. I moved the bottles, and the waves rocked me back to sleep shortly afterward. At 7:30, Gap Year awoke from our slumber to prepare for our exciting day. Everyone sat around the stern table and munched on very yummy cereal to fuel us for our sailing exam and big dive. After breakfast, Nat reviewed some sailing material with us, and we took the exam. Jade, Lucy, and I sat on the bow until our boat was called to go dive. We arrived at Meow or Never for our shipwreck dive shortly. Everyone geared up as we prepared to explore the underwater ship and aquatic life. We saw many fish, some rainbow, some pufferfish, and an absolutely ginormous lobster. Sadly, we did not get to see any sharks, but nonetheless, it was awesome. After the dive, we rode back to Gap Year to prepare lunch. While Antara, Wyatt, Robert, JD, Nate, and Eloise convinced Skyler to take them to shore to search for a goat while the rest of us helped Nat make ramen. We all ate ramen and talked together. After cleanup, we made our way back to Norman Island. The counselors went to their staff meeting while the chefs prepared Cheddar-Brocoli Pasta for dinner. When the counselors arrived, we all ate and talked. Right after dinner, the counselors took us out on a dinghy, and we drove out into the ocean for a bit. Once we reached our destination, we squeezed into the middle of the ocean, which was very cool. We rode back to Gap Year and are now cleaning up dinner and hanging out in the frock pit. Overall, today was a special day and one of my favorites.
