Today, we woke up, and almost immediately, I was asked to go to a skipper meeting because I had to drive the boat for the two races we had today. They ran through the course, and I had to pick our starting number out of a hat. We got number 6, and then we headed back to the boat. Then, after about an hour, we started the race. We had a horrible start and by far the worst boat in the fleet (almost everything on our boat is broken, and we are towing one of the heaviest dinghies in the fleet), but due to everyone pulling on the side of the jib and my expert wheel turning skillz, we managed to come in third. Then we docked in West End, where Cameron, Magnus, Emily, Jada, and I were. Chase, Ellory, Breckyn, Sloan, and Amy. I ended up having to wait about an hour for an avocado bacon bagel. We also got some wine bottles with water, And Vaughn had a full rack of ribs. Then I had another skipper meeting and this time I got position one which is the best position. We started the race, and we were in first for most of the race; Eli was telling me when to tack, and we were at least a mile away from all of the other boats, then all of a sudden. SNAP, the jib sheet broke, and our jib was flying everywhere, and there was no shot of us winning. I was bummed out because i was exited to win the hardest race with the hardest boat to pilot but my dreams were crushed by the breaking of the jib. The biscuits at dinner almost made up for it
