Location: Mountain Point, Virgin Gorda
Hi, my name is Joshua, and today we had an awesome day! We started off waking up at 7 am and had a nice breakfast of bagels while I had Cheerios. After breakfast, we went paddle boarding with both Ella W & Ella S, Thompson, Hopie, Lulu, and Lucy, participating in a huge paddle board chicken fight. I went on an amazing snorkel and saw a whole bunch of colorful fish! We all paddle-boarded around together afterward! Then, we had a nice hike through the lush island wilderness. During the hike, Meredith really killed it, being super persistent and willing. Honestly, the hike was just a little better than walking through mesquite trees in Texas. We saw a lot of wildlife, and Grayson found a conch shell and was nice enough to give it to Lucy, who was really looking for one all trip long. Then we had grilled cheese for lunch prepared by Mia. After lunch, we went and had diving training, but it didn’t really feel like training because we got to see stingrays and because of my dive team(me, Josie, and Ella w)’s great instructor named Whitney. During the dive, Ollie, Meredith, and Lulu really stepped up and sped up their training, finishing before everyone else. We are almost done with open water! Then we did water sports. Lulu, Hopie, Ella W, Meredith. and I went knee-boarding, where I got up for the first time. Everyone else went while the other of us stayed and chilled with Alpenglow, one of the other boats where we were all making new friends. Wilkes is super close with everyone and introduced us. There was also back-flipping where Grayson and Josie mastered the skill. Then we had a fire Thanksgiving in summer dinner, ending the night on a good note. Our last dive chat is today, and we are all done with the learning!
