Location: Mountain Point, Virgin Gorda
After an eventful night, we woke up and started the day with some bagels and yogurt. After Finn and Jada finished up a breakfast dishy pit, we went straight to rotations. We started out skiing, and Magnus killed it once again on the kneeboard. Finn and I (Cameron) cheered him on, and we used the knee board as though it were a tube that you are going tubing on. Ellory spent her ski time napping with some amazing A/C that the staff were able to get working again. After we did some water sports, we went on a hike where Sloane got stuck in a thorn bush, and Magnus, Finn, Vaughn, and I saw a goat. After a semi-successful hike, we had some deli sandwiches for lunch, then went to our scuba diving rotation for the day. JT (one of our staff members) said that Eli, Chase, Breckyn, and Finn were the best divers that this camp had ever seen. Emily, Jada, Magnus, and I also absolutely killed our diving skills and finished early (shoutout to Toby, one of the best dive instructors out there). After diving, a few of us zested, which is where you go in a small sailboat and hone in on some of the most important skills in sailing. When I say some, I say that it was because Breckyn, Amy, Ellory, and I got some shuteye after the exhausting day we had. We finished out our exhausting but amazing day with some saltwater showers and Mexican night as a meal, which we can thank Chase, our chef, for. Today was genuinely amazing, and I had a great time being skipper.
