Location: Anegada
Day 7
Title:
Location: Anegada and Cooper Island
Skipper: Connor
This morning we raised our anchor at 4:45 to set sail to Anegada. Me (Connor), Scarlett, Aline, Laragh, Maya, and Emily woke early so we could see the sunrise over the ocean. The sail to Anegada was about four and a half hours long. Once we got there, we had a delicious meal of oatmeal, and we were all hyped for the beach Olympics later that day. Next up, we headed to the island for the beach Olympics. We didn’t start so hot, losing in the first three rounds, but I’ll give a shout-out to Aline’s choke hold in the chicklet challenge. We later picked it up in the events. Our boat went against another boat in a tug of war and won mostly thanks to Ben and Joe for holding us down! We later played in the finals in a tug of war but lost a close game. The last event was pretty crazy – we had to start off by digging a hole in the sand so we could crawl out under an oar. We had to spin around ten times, then fill our mouths with as much water from the ocean as possible (which was gross), then had to spit the water out into a Pringles can, and the boat that filled up the can the fastest won. Our boat did so well in the event and absolutely destroyed the other boat, mostly thanks to Holden, Scarlett, Brooke, Laragh, and myself. That was the last event. After that, we had a super long sail to where we are now. During the sail, Charley enjoyed some RandR, as did pretty much everyone on the boat. When we arrived at Cooper Island (more like Pooper Island because it’s a bit smelly), the Neptunes learned about wreck diving, and the dolphins learned about taking pictures underwater. See you tomorrow!!
