Location: The Bight, Norman Island
This morning we woke up to some more of Garret’s music. It’s day 19, and everyone has mixed feelings about going home. Although, we had an amazing dive planned for today. It was our last one! We got to explore an old shipwreck called the Rhone. Luke and Drake and I were in a group together. Drake got lost (for a second) looking at fish. Carson and Nat were amazed by the wreck and went down to the bottom to get a better look. They said it was amazing. We got our counselor Annie to go diving with us. Carson hung on to Annie’s tank while Claire hung onto Juni’s, and Emily hung on to Claire’s. We all had so so much fun. Johnluca and I both had to go pros, but they turned off because of the pressure (we still got some footage). Piper also brought a camera, but she didn’t use it at all.
Eli looked around the shipwreck and saw a couple of super cool squids and fish. We, unfortunately, didn’t see any sharks this time. After we ended the dive and made it back to the boat, we had ramen. The chefs made 20 whole packs! We ate all of them, of course. It was one of everyone’s favorite lunches. After that, the staff members had a surprise for us. Izy read a short story and handed out index cards with pens. We all wrote our cards while eating dinner. They contain our appreciation for each other. There was also a card for every staff member and for the ActionQuest HQ staff. We get to read them on the plane ride home. Today was awesome, and tomorrow will probably be even better! See you soon!
